REALITY WEIGHT LOSS
True weight loss begins from the inside out. Holistic Nutrition is the science of using natural, whole foods and nutritional supplements to detoxify, rebuild, and balance the whole person, with an awareness of how these dietary choices are interrelated with the condition of our body, emotions, spirit and the environment. Did you know if you increased your fiber intake by 35 grams per day, you would decrease your calorie intake by as much as 20%. Drinking water rather than soda and fruit juices could reduce calorie intake by another 22% for the average over-weight person. Combine these two habits with a more nutritional approach to eating that satisfies you - like the South Beach Diet, Mediterranean diet, or Sugar Busters Diets - and take
Losing weight successfully is a total approach if you want it to last and be healthy. It requires that you increase your metabolism, decrease your appetite, regulate your blood sugar by monitoring what you eat, and have more energy so you depend less on junk food pick-ups!
Ultimate through diet and exercise you have to spend more calories than you take in. This is the only way to lose weight everyday and keep it off.
Many people find the nutrients in Oxylean give them that extra push to get their program going and to stay the course. You have to get your body into balance so all your body organs and systems are working in harmony.
What is Wrong with Fad Diets
Fad diets that advise you to stop eating entire food groups are quickly losing steam because even successful dieters are now well aware of what happens once they stop the diet – the weight comes back on quickly and with a vengeance. Dieters coming off of plans like the Atkins Diet and the South Beach Diet often end up weighing more than they did before they started the process because their bodies have been deprived of the nutrients they need. Reintroducing previously banned foods causes their bodies to store those nutrients as fat, in case they are deprived again. As this knowledge of the yo-yo effect spreads, the sales of diet books are steadily declining. Dieting is becoming a fad that we are happy to be rid of, like legwarmers and big hair.
The newest trend in dieting is not dieting at all – it’s eating healthy. Most diets prescribe a food plan that is unrealistic for long term use, but eating a diet that is healthy all the time is a reasonable way to lose weight and keep it off. It is unhealthy to deprive your body of any nutrient found on the food pyramid; however, greasy potato chips and other foods high in saturated fat are nowhere to be found on that pyramid. Paying attention to the nutritional value of the foods you eat will help you too.
A diet that is filled with the following foods will keep you on track for a healthy weight and overall good health:
Fruits and vegetables – Packed with vitamins and nutrients, fruits and vegetables are filling, healthy, and delicious.
Lean proteins – Poultry and fish are great sources of protein without the high calories that are found in many other meats such as pork and beef. We really would like to see you eat more good fish like salmon, tuna, cod, etc.
Whole grains – Whole grains add necessary fiber to your diet and aids in digestion.
Nuts and beans – Filled with protein and essential fatty acids, nuts and beans fill you up and provide you with the healthy fats you need for good cardiovascular health.
Low-fat dairy – Diets that include low-fat dairy products such as yogurt and milk show increased weight loss, especially in the belly-fat region.
Cut out as many forms of processed sugar as possible. This alone will reduce calories up to 30%.
Finally, consider adding an excellent vitamin protocol to your daily program. This insures you are getting everything your body needs and will give you the energy needed to lose weight and stick to the better food groups:
EVREREST Earth and Sea Formula 3 capsules per day
Okinawa Coral Calcium 3 capsules per day
Concentrated Omega 3 or Krill Oil - 2 soft gels per day
Oxylean Advanced Weight Loss take 2 capsules 30 minutes prior to each meal
BMI - A new study
A new study says Body Mass Index (BMI) is a strong predictor of mortality. Are you in the danger zone?
Published in the online March 2009 Lancet, a massive, collaborative analysis of 57 prospective studies found that BMI is a “reasonably good measure” of general adiposity. As your BMI increases, so does your risk of death from many possible causes, such as ischaemic heart disease, stroke and various types of cancers. The added concern is that the overall BMI of an average person is on the rise. Sadly, most don’t know it.
